Earth Plant Based Cuisine Review – One of the Best Vegan Comfort Food Spots in Downtown Phoenix
Earth Plant Based Cuisine is one of our favorite vegan spots in Downtown Phoenix.
As locals, we’ve been eating here for a while because the food is consistently good, the menu is simple, and everything is 100 percent vegan.
It’s also a family-friendly place, even though it is a smaller spot, and we love that its sister café, Goji Berry, is also completely vegan and right across the way.
If you’re visiting Phoenix or you’re local and want solid vegan comfort food, Earth Plant Based Cuisine is a great place to try.
Location: Downtown Phoenix
Earth Plant Based Cuisine is located off 7th Street in Downtown Phoenix.
It’s not exactly walking distance from the major hotels downtown, but it is a short drive.
The area is easy to navigate and there is parking nearby.
Right across the way is their sister café, Goji Berry, which is also fully vegan.
Goji Berry has more café-style foods and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Why We Keep Coming Back
The menu here is straightforward, consistent, and full of comfort-food staples.
They sometimes add seasonal items, but most of their popular dishes stay the same.
Here are the items we typically order.
1. Seitan Wings
The wings are one of the most popular items on the menu.
They come in barbecue, lemon pepper, and buffalo.
We almost always get the 12-piece so we can split it into three flavors.
They also offer a 24-piece if you’re sharing.
2. Chorizo Fries
These are savory, filling, and topped with vegan chorizo.
A great choice for sharing or as a main if you’re not too hungry.
3. Quesadilla Tacos
Crispy edges, melty vegan cheese, and great flavor.
These are one of our favorites.
4. Asada Burrito and Chimichanga
Two solid staples we rotate between.
The asada burrito is packed and flavorful.
The chimichanga has a crispy outer layer and is one of the better vegan versions we’ve tried.
The beans and rice are also always good, and our kids enjoy them too.
Shakes, Drinks, and Dessert
Earth Plant Based Cuisine is well known for their shakes.
We’ve tried several.
Our favorites include the PB Pretzel, the Strawberry Shortcake, and seasonal or specialty shakes like the Chorizo shake.
They also offer drinks.
My husband likes the turmeric drink and the Malibu drink.
I usually keep it simple with a shake and water.
Desserts depend on the season and availability.
Dining Experience
Earth Plant Based Cuisine is a small and cozy space.
A few things to expect.
Seating fills up quickly.
There is one high chair, and it is usually taken.
They have limited outdoor seating.
Water is self-serve.
Ordering is done at the counter.
We have done both dine-in and takeout.
Some items reheat well, like the burrito, but others are best eaten fresh, especially the wings and tacos.
Because we bring our kids here often, one recommendation would be to add more high chairs or small booster seats.
It would make a big difference for families dining at both Earth Plant Based Cuisine and Goji Berry.
Breakfast, Lunch, and Weekend Brunch
Earth Plant Based Cuisine serves breakfast, and their brunch menu is available on weekends.
Breakfast items rotate.
Brunch gets busy fast.
Lunch and dinner menus are mostly the same.
Goji Berry also serves breakfast and has more café-style dishes if you want something different.
Goji Berry: The Sister Café
Goji Berry is fully vegan and just a short walk across the way.
They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
They serve café-style bowls, sandwiches, and drinks.
It’s a great alternative if Earth Plant Based Cuisine is full or if you want a lighter meal.
