We love trying new spots as Phoenix locals. the Dark Hall was no exception. We made our way over after a nice afternoon brunch at the Coronado. Here’s our review:
Dark Hall Coffee, at 3343 N 7th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85013, might be dark in decor, but the welcoming team and inviting atmosphere make it feel anything but gloomy ☠️.
As an entirely plant-based coffee shop, this spot is a haven for vegan coffee lovers looking for something different.
Dark Hall shares a space with The Coronado PHX, a vegan restaurant, and together, they form an ideal spot for breakfast or brunch though for a wider range of savory options, I’d recommend stepping next door to The Coronado. It’s owned by the same peeps!

The heart of Dark Hall’s menu is its thoughtfully crafted coffee and pastries. You’ll find espresso, house-blend coffee, and teas, with flavor options like vanilla, lavender, and caramel syrups.
Plant-based milk options include oat milk, adding a creamy touch to their already smooth coffee. I loved their Brown Sugar Lemonade, a refreshing twist, and heard great things about their espresso too.
Pastries here are made in house and rotate frequently—one day you might find macaroons, cashew shortbread, or lavender-infused treats, and the next, a new plant-based creation might be on display.
Each pastry is 100% vegan, offering unique and creative flavors that pair perfectly with coffee.
Ambiance & Dining Options
With an all-black interior, Dark Hall Coffee boasts a striking, minimalist aesthetic that feels both modern and cozy. Beautiful mural.
Despite the dark decor, the space is surprisingly warm and friendly, with a small number of tables and chairs for those who choose to stay and sip.
The shop is offers limited seating and takeout grab your drink to go or settle into the seating for a quick escape. There is plenty of outdoor seating open at the moment but it looked like at the time they were working on it.
While there is online ordering, it’s best to visit in person to browse their pastry selection and enjoy the full experience.
