Looking for vegan options in Mesa?

We are vegan and know first hand wheeler to do Mesa, Arizona, two 💯vegan spots that you won’t want to miss.

If you’re in the area and craving a bite, I’ve got just the places for you. We’re talking freshly brewed coffee, mouthwatering burritos, and the best vegan ice cream around.

Let’s dive in and check out two must-visit spots: The Nile Coffee Shop and SoJo’s Donuts. Trust me, you’ll want to add these to your list.

1. The Nile Coffee Shop

• Address: 105 W Main St, Mesa, AZ 85201

• Phone: (480) 352-9882

• Website: thenilecoffee.com

The Nile Coffee Shop is the perfect downtown spot if you’re looking for a casual place to relax with a coffee or grab a quick bite.

The whole menu is plant-based, and the food is ooh ahh, yumm yumm. Fun fact, it’s located in front of a historic theatre the coffee shop hosts markets too!

Here’s what you’ve got to try:

• Burritos: These come stuffed with everything good—think seasoned potatoes, black beans, and a flavorful salsa that will have you coming back for more.

• Pastries: Yes, they do vegan sweets, and yes, they are amazing. The flavors rotate, so every visit feels like a new experience.

• Bagels: This isn’t your average bagel. The plant-based egg and protein options make for a hearty breakfast or lunch. Get it toasted, and thank me later.

• Salads: For a lighter option, their salads are fresh and packed with plant goodness. Perfect for a mid-day pick-me-up.

From its welcoming vibe to its all-vegan menu, The Nile is a gem that keeps locals coming back. Don’t miss it next time you’re exploring downtown Mesa!

2. SoJo’s Donuts

• Address: 1305 W Guadalupe Rd, Ste 104, Mesa, AZ 85202

• Phone: (480) 590-6716

• Website: sojosdonuts.com

Okay, let’s talk about SoJo’s Donuts. The inside cute small and retro!

While we were unable to get there in time to snag a donut (don’t worry, we’ll definitely be back), we did get to try their vegan ice cream, and it did not disappoint.

Creamy, dreamy, and just the right amount of sweet.

But enough about that—here’s what else you’ll want to keep an eye on:

• Vegan Donuts: The flavors are known to be creative and delicious, with options ranging from classic glaze to funky seasonal specials.

Gluten-free choices are often available too, which is a nice touch. Call before you go because they go fast, fast!

• Vegan Ice Cream: If you’re an ice cream lover like me, you’re in for a treat.

They offer a range of vegan ice creams that are rich, creamy, and perfect for dessert (or breakfast—no judgment here). There’s a few other spots serving up delish vegan ice cream.

• Beverages: Pair your donut or ice cream with a coffee or plant-based milkshake.

SoJo’s is the perfect stop for those who like a little sweetness in their life.

I’ll be updating this review once I finally get to try their famous donuts—stay tuned!
