Vegan Chocolate PB smoothie Recipe

Here’s a delicious recipe for a Vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie that serves a family of four that we created.

This smoothie is packed with flavor and protein, making it perfect for breakfast or a post-workout snack. Adjust the quantities as needed for individual preferences.

Creaming and delicious!

Ingredients:

• 4 ripe bananas, peeled

• 16 ounces (2 cups) plant-based milk (such as almond, soy, or oat milk)

• 3 cups water

• 4 tablespoons peanut butter (or your preferred nut butter)

• 2 scoops Orgain Organic Protein Powder (or another plant-based protein powder)

• 1 tablespoon Hershey’s cocoa powder

Instructions:

1. Add the bananas, plant-based milk, and water to a blender.

2. Add the peanut butter, cocoa powder, and protein powder.

3. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a bit more water to reach your desired consistency.

4. Pour into glasses and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Estimated Protein Content:

Using Orgain Organic Protein Powder (which typically has 21g protein per scoop), here’s the approximate protein content:

Orgain Organic Protein Powder: 42g (2 scoops)

Peanut Butter: 14g (4 tablespoons, ~3.5g per tablespoon)

Plant-based milk: 4-6g (depending on the type used)

Total estimated protein: ~60-62g for the entire batch, or about 15-16g per serving

Here are some tips

  • Use frozen bananas and make sure they are ripe before your freeze them
  • Use cold milk, add ice if you need too
  • Use a high speed blender like doesn’t have to be dance but something that can blend frozen bananas like the Nina (we have an old one that we love)
  • Add more chocolate if you want it to have more of chocolate taste or omit if you don’t want chocolate
  • Add less milk for thinness
  • Add more peanut butter if that’s yo thang
  • Add coco nibs
  • Make it into a bowl and add fave tops like granola and seeds for more protein
  • Drink with straws for the best experience
  • Share the love with someone else…tell them that you love them today (adding more love and reminders into these post to spice things up a bit)
