We’re vegan.
We’re local.
And we really love The Nile Cafe.
We found out it was super close to one of our favorite downtown Mesa hangout spots.
And it turns out, this plant-based café is located inside The Nile Theater, which makes the experience even cooler.

What makes The Nile Cafe stand out?
It’s 100% vegan.
It’s located inside the historic Nile Theater in Mesa.
And it’s got the perfect mix of cozy, cool, and community.
You’ll see the light rail roll by while sipping your latte.
And if you’re lucky, you’ll grab one of the few window seats to people-watch.
The Nile Theater Mesa Parking
Parking is limited.
There’s paid street parking nearby, and some free spots if you’re willing to walk.
We usually dine in and get lucky—but we always plan to circle once or twice.
The Nile Coffee Shop Hours
They’re open:
- Sunday to Wednesday: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Thursday to Saturday: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Heads-up: They stop serving food around 1 p.m., and popular items can sell out.

We’ve got to say it: the McBluffin is hands down our favorite.
It’s the one thing that’s been pretty consistent across visits.
The vegan steak and potatoes dish was also incredible.
We’re also big fans of their bagels—when they have them.
But! Their menu changes a lot.
Like, we just checked and none of the things we’ve ordered (besides the McBluffin) are on the current menu.

Weekday mornings = packed.
Afternoons = quieter, but items may sell out.
There are maybe 5 or 6 big tables and a cozy couch.

If you’re looking to work, go in the morning during the week.
